Learning to Meditate – Meditation in Littleton, CO

Meditating, mindfulness or simply being still, fills us with peace, and allows us to stop speaking and hear and understand what is at work in our lives, fully integrating us with the divine.

An apple a day may keep the doctor away on a physical level, but daily meditation is what keeps our soul healthy and alive, keeping away confusion, fear and disease, or dis-ease.

Benefits of Meditation and Mindfulness

– What are the benefits of meditation?

The benefits of meditation are truly endless! Meditation can literally help with anything that is ailing us on any level because it allows us to get in contact with the internal observer, the self within the self who is infinitely loving, powerful and all knowing.

Stress and tension dissipate with a regular meditation practice, bodily functions, blood pressure and other physical maladies improve, and people who meditate are simply happier.

  • Meditation reduces stress and ageing, adds time to your day, helps us appreciate life, feel gratitude and helps us feel connected to life.
  • Meditation makes us happier and more relaxed, improves memory and brain functioning, improves seep, metabolism, aids in weight loss, improves immunity and increases attention span.

– How do I learn to meditate?

Learning to meditate is very individualized. We all have a dominant sense and a dominant learning style, and the key to learning to meditate effectively is simply a matter of putting our dominant sense and main learning style to work for us. Some people like to sit, some like to recline, others need to be active in order to meditate effectively.

Meditation can be learned in one-on-one, semi-private or group sessions.

– How long do I have to meditate?

There is no set time for meditation. Sometimes 15 seconds is enough to refocus and calm the mind, other times longer meditations are necessary. Again, meditation is like prayer. It can be done anywhere, any time without anyone else knowing we are doing it. It can be short, long, active or still.

– How much does meditation training cost?

Meditation training in any form, whether individual, semi-private or in a group costs $125 per hour. Payment must be made in advance or your appointment. If you are unable to attend your appointment, you must give 24 hours notice in order to receive a refund or to reschedule. If you are unable to give sufficient notice, no refund will be given.

Please let Lora know as soon as possible if you are running late and she will make every attempt to accommodate you. However, she is often scheduled back-to-back and if you are late to your appointment, your scheduled time may be diminished by the amount of time you are late.
